My name is Elsa
I'm 24 and I'm the founder of elsaluis.
I was born and raised in Belgium, but I've always been attracted to the ocean and the sun. After a year of travels, I'm now based in Bordeaux, in the south-west of France.
I learnt to sew on my own in 2020 and quickly realised that it was much more than just a passion.
As someone who is actively opposed to the fast fashion industry, I want to show that a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative is possible. That's why I offer you handmade clothes made from European linen and upcycled garments.
Available in limited quantities, the upcycled clothes and accessories are made from fabrics that I've collected piece by piece (old sheets from our grandmothers' closets, unused fabric coupons, etc.).
Together, let's give these fabrics, often forgotten, a new and useful life!
The 100% linen collection is made from linen sourced in France, then woven in Europe in a family-run business.
Linen is one of the most ecological and resistant materials available.
You'll always find it on the elsaluis website, because it's my favorite material!
